It’s been a while since our last construction update and for good reason… we unfortunately had a a slight delay due to a floor drain issue. Luckily, all has been resolved and we’re on the homestretch to opening the production side of our space.
Here’s a short update on what’s been going on the past few weeks:
The concrete team arrived to pour back our floor that had been cut up so we could install floor drainage throughout. (always fun to see big machines when you drive into the office!)
The same concrete team then began working outside to pour our shipping dock. We’re excited to get pallets of beer sent your way via this beautiful piece of rock!
Having concrete done, we were then able to set our glycol chiller out back. This 2500 pound bad boy will ensure our fermenting beer is always at the right temperature.
Next up our epoxy team began coating the production area with a flaked epoxy and polyurethane coat. This will protect our brewing area from all the harsh acids and hot liquids we clean with. Like most things Mill Creek, we always try to incorporate our brand colors where we can!
Last but not least, we’ve got our cooler for the tasting room almost up and running. The tasting room will take a bit longer than our production area to finish as we want to make sure we are making beer to ship out first. Keep your eyes peeled on our social media pages for grand opening details as we get closer.
Be sure and stay tuned for our next update. Who knows — we may just have brewing equipment to show ya!
