Let’s welcome back Miranda to the taproom!

Even from a young age, music has always been an integral part of Miranda Powell’s life. Classically trained in piano since age five, Miranda also developed a passion for many other genres of music during her childhood, with influences ranging from The Beach Boys to Billy Joel. During her later teenage years, she began delving into the vast world of jazz and improvisation. ​ In 2014, Miranda made the move from her hometown of Columbia, MD to Nashville and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Commercial Piano with a Digital Musicianship emphasis at Belmont University. During this time, she began fostering her production skills by studying the latest trends in music technology, while still continuing to develop a deep knowledge of pop, rock, soul, and jazz in both piano and voice. Additionally, she began honing her songwriting skills in her own original music, drawing from her many childhood influences. ​ In July of 2019, Miranda released her debut single “I Hope You Know” while simultaneously continuing to assist other artists as a studio musician and live player.
